Irondzinad (Ирондзинад). Language Policy in Ossetia and Ossetian Language Identity
La tesi si concentra sulla situazione linguistica del popolo osseto a partire dalle relazioni con lo Zarato e l'Impero russo fino ad arrivare all'epoca sovietica e contemporanea. La tesi è divisa in quattro capitoli principali, che trattano rispettivamente le nozioni preliminari necessarie per affrontare la discussione, la situazione geolinguistica caucasica, la storia e la lingua degli osseti, le politiche linguistiche in Russia, Georgia e nelle due repubbliche ossete.
The thesis focuses on the linguistic situation of the Ossetian people starting from the relations with the Tsar and the Russian Empire up to the Soviet and contemporary times. The thesis is divided into four main chapters, which respectively deal with the preliminary notions necessary to address the discussion, the Caucasian geolinguistic situation, the history and language of the Ossetians, language policies in Russia, Georgia and the two Ossetian Republics.
