Innovation is generally regarded as the driver granting wealth and prosperity to industrialised countries. Entrepreneurs are those who take on the risk and the uncertainty of pursuing innovation, foreseeing some monetary reward. A nondeterministic view is indented to investigate the relevant elements in the economic system by assuming a radical stance on what can be derived – theoretically and empirically – from those. The decision-makers act in such uncertain environment, that is constantly mutating and where change is determined by their own actions. Agent-based modelling allows for testing the decisional path of these heterogenous agents, which in a complex environment, attempt to cope with their own limitations.
