The organizational environment becomes increasingly competitive and dynamic, leading companies to search for new solutions and approaches, which meet people and business needs. A possible approach which allows answering these needs is smart working. The aim of the present work is to provide on one hand a current scientific contribution through a unified treatment of the topics, and on the other hand, the concrete experiences of three different companies that have implemented smart working projects. The methodology of research began with the analysis of the academic literature and specialized journals, which seem to have a fragmented approach without providing a general picture of the topic. It also considered the analysis of the European and national legislation about telework and smart working.

Abstract
The organizational environment becomes increasingly competitive and dynamic, leading companies to search for new solutions and approaches, which meet people and business needs. Today, the companies can rethink the job organization in a more flexible way, thanks to the new advanced information and communication technologies that enable people to be connected everywhere reducing the needs to always be physically present within the “corporate walls”. Moreover, the experiences of ABB, Amadori, and American Express concerning their smart working projects were collected by contacting the related companies telephonically or through e-mails containing material, links and useful information allowing me to prepare their business cases.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
