The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility, reproducibility and safety of the procedure called classical LECS and inverted LECS in the treatment of benign gastric neoplasms, non-epithelial tumors and tumor-like lesions in a context, the Italian one, totally different from that of Japan and Asian countries in general. The present work, therefore, retrospectively studies all patients who underwent classical or inverted LECS surgery for benign neoplasms, non-epithelial tumors or tumor-like lesions of the stomach, with diameters less than 5 cm, at the Complex Operating Unit of General Surgery I of the I.R.C.C.S Policlinico San Matteo Foundation in the period between March 9, 2016 and June 30, 2019.
