The progress and changes in the labour market have contributed to the increasing use of communication technologies, especially electronic communication via email, within organizational contexts. This has led to the spread of a phenomenon that is still little studied, namely cyber incivility, which refers to uncivil behaviours displayed through computer-mediated (e.g., via email) interactions. To date, a systematic review of the literature on this topic is still lacking. Therefore, the current dissertation aims to fill this gap by providing a systematic review of the international studies available on this topic, with the purpose of understanding which are the antecedents and consequences of this phenomenon with reference to workers’ occupational well-being and variables of organizational interest. Following the Prisma method, a systematic review was conducted using Scopus and PsycInfo. 13 papers were included. Of these, 7 papers address cyber incivility from colleagues, while the remaining 6 articles analyse cyber incivility from supervisors. The results show that cyber incivility is spreading very fast and, because of its ambiguous nature, is often hard to detect even by the target. This phenomenon has a negative impact on workers’ well-being in terms of psycho-physical health and then resulting organizational behaviours. Thus, organizations should take into account this phenomenon and provide their employees with information and training initiatives. Keywords: systematic review, cyber incivility, occupational well-being.

Abstract
Keywords: systematic review, cyber incivility, occupational well-being.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
