The thesis focuses on an analysis of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). It identifies the most effective motor interventions in the “Preventive and Adapted Physical Activity” domain, offering a hypothesis of a possible workout scheduling. The general objective is to identify the most effective motor interventions for children affected by Developmental Coordination Disorder at present (motor and Music therapy applied at motor skills), pointing out aspects, reasons and conditions. The final objective is to propose a hypothesis for a workout scheduling that aims to find a resolution to the main critical issues consequent to the developmental psychopathology. The Thesis develops from an analysis of literature produced mainly during the last twenty years, concerning the DCD and related interventions in re-education and motor skills education. It includes studies and books about an overview of the psychopathology, along with Reviews, Randomized-Controlled Trials and Clinical Trials suggesting interventions and schedules examples: that is the scientific evidence in support of the Workout Scheduling hypothesis proposed. Analyzed studies highlighted that task-oriented approaches (specific functional skills learning) are the most efficient motor interventions. Furthermore, in Music therapy, rhythmic stimuli are the primary elements, guiding the intervention. In DCD an intervention on both motor, cognitive, sense-perceptual, psychologic areas and on fitness level is fundamental. A task-oriented approach seems to be the most effective, but a rhythm-based Music therapy intervention is a valid support, especially for socio-emotional aspects. It would be innovative the hypothesis of a Workout Scheduling following a “multi-functional” approach, but it is to be verified in the future.

Abstract
It would be innovative the hypothesis of a Workout Scheduling following a “multi-functional” approach, but it is to be verified in the future.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
