SUPPORTO DECISIONALE IN CONTESTO ONCOLOGICO: FATTIBILITA’ TECNICA E PROTOTIPAZIONE

This thesis intends to describe and detail the period between month twelve and month eighteen of the CAPABLE European project (where twelve and eighteen represent the time elapsed since the start of the project). In this period, the development of the Proof Of Concept of the system was carried out to demonstrate its technical feasibility within a fictitious scenario, but functional to the purpose (which we will indicate with scenario M18). A scenario was therefore created (not based on a real patient, but created on the basis of realistic data) describing a subject suffering from cancer and its process in using the Capable system. All this to verify the capacity of the system in its entirety, highlight its strengths and weaknesses to work on. The Demo M18 is therefore a test to understand if you are working in the right direction and then be able to deal with cases of greater complexity, as will happen during the use of this system in daily clinical reality.

Questa tesi intende descrivere e dettagliare il periodo tra il mese dodici e il mese diciotto del progetto europeo CAPABLE (dove dodici e diciotto rappresentano il tempo trascorso rispetto all’inizio del progetto). In questo periodo ci si è occupati dello sviluppo della Proof Of Concept del sistema per dimostrarne la fattibilità tecnica all’interno di uno scenario fittizio, ma funzionale allo scopo (che indicheremo con scenario M18). Si è quindi creato uno scenario (non basato su un paziente reale, ma creato “a tavolino” sulla base di dati realistici) che descrivesse un soggetto affetto da cancro e il suo iter nell’utilizzo del sistema Capable. Tutto questo per verificare la capacità del sistema nella sua interezza, evidenziarne punti di forza e le fragilità su cui lavorare. La Demo M18 è quindi un test per comprendere se si stia lavorando nella giusta direzione per poi poter fronteggiare casi di maggior complessità, come avverrà durante l’utilizzo di questo sistema nella quotidiana realtà clinica.
