The thesis' aim The idea for this work comes from the desire to show and emphasize the analogies and differences between the various Soccer Youth Academies in Europe; the data collected through this comparison will be used to find ways to improve the current Italian Youth Acasemy. This topic is currently fundamental, since it is very hard for young italian players to make it to the big teams. Methods, sources and tools used This work has been developed between May and December; the informtion it contains comes from reliable scientific sources, library textbooks. scientific articles that can be found on Pubmed and Google Scholar and the European Federations' guidelines. The keywords that have been used are: football, CIES Football Observatory, young players, physical education, Europe Football, organisation. The operator used was boleano and. The work's phases The first part of the thesis focuses on the general infomation about Youth Academies in Europe. Various tables have been used to summarise the Organisations, that are divided according to age groups, guidelines, main criteria used by all the Coutries and data from the past two years regarding the Clubs that had the biggest number of professional players coming from their Farm team. After this general introduction we move on to a detailed and scientific analysis of the single different Euopean methods: Italian, Spanish, English, French, Dutch and German. The process was the same for every method: first the analysis of the guidelines, then a focus on the best information that have been observed about every one of the aforementioned Clubs. The last part of the thesis lays out some advice and sugestions based on what can be observed through literature and first hand experience as a coach in an Elite Soccer School. Results and conclusions From what has been observed we can see how important it is to work on the young players from Youth Academies and how the Italian Method could improve by paying close atention to what the other European Coutries are doing, and how they are doing it.
Obiettivo della tesi Il presente lavoro di tesi nasce dalle volontà di mostrare analogie e differenze dei Settori Giovanili calcistici in Europa al fine di comprendere come il modello italiano possa prendere spunto per migliorarsi. Si tratta di un argomento di estrema importanza dal momento che, in Italia, i giovani fanno fatica ad esplodere. Metodi, fonti e strumenti utilizzati Il lavoro, eseguito tra maggio e dicembre, è stato svolto analizzando fonti autorevoli della letteratura scientifica, consultando libri di testo tramite la biblioteca, articoli scientifici tramite i database Pubmed e Google Schoolar e le linee guide delle Federazioni Europee. Le keywords (parole chiave) utilizzate sono state: football, CIES Football Observatory, young players, physical education, Europe Football, organization. È stato utilizzato l’operatore boleano and. Tappe del lavoro La prima parte della tesi mette in luce informazioni generali riguardanti i Settori Giovanili in Europa. Vengono mostrate tabelle riassuntive delle organizzazioni suddivise per fasce d’età, le linee guida ed i criteri principali adottati da tutti i Paesi e i dati relativi agli ultimi due anni sui migliori Club che hanno prodotto il maggior numero di giocatori dal proprio vivaio. Il lavoro procede poi con un’approfondita revisione scientifica analizzando il modello italiano, spagnolo, inglese, francese, olandese e tedesco. Per ciascun modello sono state analizzate prima le linee guida del Paese, poi messe in luce le migliori informazioni osservate dei relativi top Club. L’ultima parte di questa tesi mostra consigli e suggerimenti basandosi su quanto osservato dalla letteratura e dalla sua prima esperienza come allenatore di una Scuola Calcio Elite. Risultati e conclusioni Dagli studi effettuati emerge l’importanza di lavorare sui giovani all’interno dei Settori Giovanili e di come ciascuno degli altri modelli esaminati possa ispirare il modello italiano a migliorarsi
