This degree thesis has a twofold objective. The first is to talk about the virtual rendering of the Ark of Sant'Agostino and the work I did within the publishing group that saw the creation and writing of the book "The virtual rendering of the Ark of Sant'Agostino" (the title is provisional since the book is still not finished). The third volume in a series deals with the theme of three-dimensional modeling in relation to art, and in this case in particular in relation to the Ark of St. Augustine, located inside the Basilica of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro in Pavia. I took part in the writing of the book starting from October 2020, flanked by Dr. Alessandra Setti and by professors Virginio Cantoni and Mauro Mosconi. On a weekly basis I contributed to its correction and layout. This project gave me the opportunity to learn the use of new software (Indesign) and to touch the world of publishing and its logic (a sector of great interest to me). It also made it possible to develop new forms of interaction and collaboration, as the entire project was carried out remotely through the Zoom platform due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The second objective of this thesis, closely linked to the first, is to address the issue of Digital Humanities. In fact, this publishing project is part of the Humanities IT sector, a field of study that deals with integrating computer knowledge and therefore computational procedures, with the humanities. The virtual rendering of the Ark of St. Augustine is a perfect example of the opportunities that technology offers for the benefit of culture. In detail, in this thesis I initially expose the work I did over a year within the group of editors who gave life to this project: I focus on the work division and the tools used, reporting fragments of text taken from from the book with the aim of exemplifying the work done. Ample space is given to the rules of graphic design implemented during the course of drafting of the volume, which have often also been applied in this degree thesis with the aim of giving life to a uniform project. Subsequently, I shift my attention to the issue of Digital Humanities, proposing exemplary case studies in terms of the application of technologies in relation to culture and art in general, with a particular focus on what concerns Italy.

Abstract
This degree thesis has a twofold objective. The first is to talk about the virtual rendering of the Ark of Sant'Agostino and the work I did within the publishing group that saw the creation and writing of the book "The virtual rendering of the Ark of Sant'Agostino" (the title is provisional since the book is still not finished).
