ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE The main objective of this paper is to confirm the effectiveness of seasonal programming based on weekly training of conditional skills in the game of soccer of an under-17 category, through the careful research and analysis of various scientific studies combined with the results obtained from the most suitable athletic tests. SOURCES AND MATERIALS This thesis is mainly based on my personal experience last year at the soccer club F.C Sangiuliano City located in the suburbs of Milan, more precisely in San Giuliano Milanese, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with the under-17 team in conducting athletic tests and drafting the proposed seasonal training program. From this experience it was possible to obtain important data, including classification and evaluation tables, which in conjunction with scientific articles based on the importance of training these main skills in soccer were used for the realization of this research. STAGES OF THE WORK The work was initially divided by a general part in which the importance of the role and main tasks of the athletic trainer in soccer is defined, followed by a careful review of scientific articles pertaining to the training of the main skills in soccer including summary table and personal observations. Finally, by a final section highlighting the results obtained from the proposed tests and the main objective of this thesis. CONCLUSIONS Modern soccer continues to demand increased commitments and efforts from a psychophysical point of view not only at the professional level but also at the amateur level. Quick and fast movements over short distances such as changes of direction, jumps, counterattacks and sprints are continuously performed, which also require special resistance to them. Therefore, through the results obtained from the proposed tests and scientific studies reviewed, it was possible to confirm the effectiveness of a training program of three weekly sessions based daily on endurance, strength and speed.
