"The industry of the future will have only two employees: a man and a dog. The man will be there to feed the dog. The dog will be there to prevent the man from touching anything.” This is how Warren Bennis, an American scholar and a pioneer in leadership studies, jokes, perhaps concealing a note of concern, about the unstoppable development of technological innovations, which has led our habits and ways of living to adapt to new standards. The last two decades have seen the start of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, but it looks like that a new revolution is already approaching, it is the “Industry 5.0” or the “Fifth Industrial Revolution”, where for the first time the technology will be at the service of the Society. After many years of technological growth and the consequent development of society, it seems that the time has come for technology to become part of human life in all its dimensions, both work-related and also private. For the first time, this new era ushered in by Industry 5.0 seems to be giving voice to many issues that have often been neglected or considered unimportant, such as environmental issues and the role of the individual within society. It is therefore often considered the most ethical industrial revolution ever. Industry 5.0 is therefore an all-embracing phenomenon that brings with it many benefits and implications. With this paper I want to focus on the effects of Industry 5.0 on the manufacturing industry, and through the case studies of JD.com and Amazon, I intend to analyse the implications of industrial warehouse automation on workers

Abstract
With this paper I want to focus on the effects of Industry 5.0 on the manufacturing industry, and through the case studies of JD.com and Amazon, I intend to analyse the implications of industrial warehouse automation on workersÈ consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
