La sperimentazione vocale nell'epoca dell'intelligenza artificiale: Jennifer Walshe e la condizione postumana.

The research of this thesis focuses on the innovative creative possibilities offered by digital technologies with artificial intelligence in the field of vocal experimentation. Through the analysis and comparison of different theories and studies, the attention is focused on the actual generative and creative capabilities of software that uses machine and deep learning. From these initial considerations, the thesis moves more directly into the musical field and, specifically, towards contemporary vocal experimentation. The case study analyzed concerns some compositions for voice and AI by the composer Jennifer Walshe, which allow us to convene reflections on the philosophical theories of posthumanism and apply them to the musical world.

La ricerca di questa tesi verte sulle innovative possibilità creative offerte dalle tecnologie digitali con intelligenza artificiale nell'ambito della sperimentazione vocale. Attraverso l'analisi e il confronto di teorie e studi diversi, si è posta l'attenzione sulle effettive capacità generative e creative dei software che utilizzano machine e deep learning. Da queste prime considerazioni, la tesi si sposta più direttamente nel campo musicale e, nello specifico, della sperimentazione vocale contemporanea. Il caso di studio analizzato riguarda alcune composizioni per voce e IA della compositrice Jennifer Walshe, che consentono di convocare riflessioni sulle teorie filosofiche del postumanesimo e applicarle al mondo musicale.
