Abstract
Burkholderia cenocepacia, belonging to the Burkholderia cepacia complex, is responsible for poor clinical outcome and high mortality in cystic fibrosis patients due to the declining function of lungs. An important strategy to control and avoid the antibiotic resistance is to interfere with the cell-cell communication system Quorum Sensing (QS). The aim of this thesis is the characterization of a B. cenocepacia CepI mutant and the role of Baicalin hydrate in inhibition of CepI activity.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
