Abstract
The role of the pharmacist has undoubtedly changed compared with the transformations in society. He is projected in a more complex dimension where his professionalism, his knowledge and his ethics must inevitably integrate with entrepreneurship. The pharmacist, in fact, is not only a professional, a man of science who has notions of specialized information, but it is also a business owner -the Pharmacy- that arises in a dynamic trade and rapidly evolving. The pharmacy is a "unique" which includes health products, commercial products and services provided to the community. The response of the pharmacist to the difficult situation concerns with the increase of the most strong and typical features of the profession and, in this regard, it is necessary a continuous professional development in all matters relating to the management of the pharmacy. This, however, in the current situation is not enough, it’s necessary to look out and dedicate to the disciplines that traditionally are unrelated to the specific interests of the pharmacist, such as management, computer science, statistics and sociology in order to operate in harmony with a complex and articulated trade. At the center of the complex scenario there is the image of a pharmacist that is asking himself about his identity and future; then there is a new demand for health that demands to be met and there are, finally, the new guidelines of the pharmaceutical companies, the obstacles imposed by the European Union and a financial crisis that limits state intervention. What is therefore the strategy to get out of this situation and build the future?È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
