Currently, most of the products and services we routinely purchase depend on a global value chain. This type of production model, which has exploded since the 1990s, underlies the phenomenon of globalization and the global economic market as we know it. My thesis aims to analyze the change in the setting of GVCs, considering some factors that have emerged in recent years and the recent shock given by the pandemic. The article introduces the concept of GVC, its fundamental aspects and especially how it is analyzed; the study then proceeds on the historical aspects, the evolution of the phenomenon up to the present day considering some future scenarios and then focusing on the business case of the research. The project concludes with a study of the Global Value Chain of a large multinational food company, Danone. With my research, I wanted to map the GVC of the well-known yogurt company, analyzing dynamics that the firm will experience in the future. The setting of Global Value Chains is destined to change, as well as the dynamics of the phenomenon of globalization, in the face of increasingly pressing factors such as attention to sustainability, technological progress and political choices that will strongly condition its path.

Abstract
The setting of Global Value Chains is destined to change, as well as the dynamics of the phenomenon of globalization, in the face of increasingly pressing factors such as attention to sustainability, technological progress and political choices that will strongly condition its path.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
