Yangshupu Power Station, originally built from 1911, had once been the largest power station in far east. The thesis did research on the history, evolution and value of the industrial heritage in the power station where there are mixed-style industrial buildings built in varied periods, abundant-type machines and other industrial remains . Based on the history research and current problems analysis, strategies of conservation and regeneration were suggested in the thesis to find ways to reuse the historic buildings left over by history.
