The foundations of attachment theory were laid by Bowbly and Ainsworth. By 1987, it was stated by Hazan and Shaver that attachment theory also affects adulthood. Based on Hazan and Shaver's theory, the attachment styles of individuals, their satisfaction in romantic relationships, and their attitudes towards violence against romantic partners were examined within the framework of dression and self-esteem. Individuals between the ages of 18-60 were employed for the research, and 55% of the participants were women, while 45% were men. Data were collected from all over Turkey. Three-Dimensional Scale of Attachment Styles, Beck Depression Scale for Primary Care (BDIPC), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Relation Assessment Scale (RAS), Attitudes Towards Dating Violence Scales (ATDVS) were used on the participants. According to the studies, a significant relationship was found between attachment styles, depression levels, self-esteem, relationship satisfaction and attitudes towards violence in the relationship. The data were also examined on anxious, avoidant and secure attachment. The results are consistent with our general hypothesis. Key Words: secure attachment, anxious attachment, avoidant attachment, depression, self-esteem, romantic relationship satisfaction, violence against romantic partner
