Abstract
The proposed power converter works allows a four quadrant operation and can be divided in two cascaded stages. The dc/dc output stage has the task of injecting a precise current waveform in the dipole magnet, being supplied by a the dc-link. The ac/dc input stage is designed to maintain the voltage of the dc-link at a constant value by controlling the power from and to the grid. Both stages are composed of 5 modules in parallel. Various control schemes have been studied to meet the various specification requirements such as: the current error in the load, the current unbalance between the bridges, the voltage error in the dc-link and the system's voltage dips ride-through capability. The simulation and calibration of the controllers were performed in the Simulink/SymPowerSystem environment; finally the various components of the circuit have been sized.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
