The paper focuses on current issues in companies, whether private or public: the protection of personal data that are processed in the course of various corporate activities and the management of consistent and effective internal corporate communication. The aim is to understand how companies, to date, have tried to develop an internal culture of data protection in order to provide greater security for customers: in particular, how this culture has been developed and with what tools. Initially, the research focused on reconstructing the history of personal data: the state of the art of personal data regulation made it possible to analyse their history, their meaning, how some countries have developed ad hoc laws and how companies today transpose these laws, adapting to the GDPR and beyond. Next, the focus was on the concept of internal communication and the relationship between a certain type of corporate organisation and a specific communication model. It was then realised how internal communication has gone from being a simple optional tool to a real strategic lever of the company. In order to make the broad picture of the state of the art discussed in the first chapters more concrete, the case of Spindox, a young company that deals with IT consulting for large companies, was analysed. By collecting testimonies, opinions and reconstructing their approach to the regulation of personal data protection, I was able to understand which tools and how the corporate culture has grown in view of the central themes of the paper. Finally, the results obtained led to reasoning on the type of tools used in the past and those currently used to communicate within a company, as well as on what could be done in the future to make the dynamics of personal data protection increasingly intrinsic to company policies by strengthening the internal culture towards this issue.

Abstract
Finally, the results obtained led to reasoning on the type of tools used in the past and those currently used to communicate within a company, as well as on what could be done in the future to make the dynamics of personal data protection increasingly intrinsic to company policies by strengthening the internal culture towards this issue.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
