L’analisi dell'esperienza del visitatore nel museo. Il caso del Museo Kosmos: una summative evaluation di alcuni elementi dell'esposizione permanente.

My thesis focuses on museum audiences. The usefulness of such studies lies in the fact that they allow the museum to analyze various aspects related to the visitor's visit experience, from motivations, learning methods or the choice of additional services used. Based on the information obtained, the museum can then plan new activities or increase existing ones and discover the strengths or weaknesses of its offering. The survey that traced the public of the Kosmos Museum of Natural History of the University of Pavia aimed to verify in particular the use, functionality and effectiveness of two elements of the permanent path: drawers and hands-on-activities, videos. The data obtained from the interviews with visitors highlighted some strong points of the exhibition, but also some critical issues on which the museum management could evaluate an intervention.

La mia tesi di laurea ha come oggetto di studio il pubblico dei musei. L’utilità di tali studi risiede nel fatto che permettono al museo di analizzare diversi aspetti legati all’esperienza di visita del visitatore, dalle motivazioni, alle modalità di apprendimento o alla scelta dei servizi aggiuntivi utilizzati. Sulla base delle informazioni ottenute poi il museo può pianificare nuove attività o incrementare quelle già esistenti e scoprire i punti di forza o di debolezza della propria offerta. L’indagine che ha tracciato il pubblico del museo Kosmos di Storia naturale dell’Università di Pavia voleva verificare in particolare l’utilizzo, la funzionalità e l’efficacia di due elementi del percorso permanente: cassetti e hands-on-activities, video. I dati ottenuti dalle interviste ai visitatori hanno evidenziato alcuni punti di forza dell’allestimento, ma anche alcune criticità sulle quali la direzione del museo potrebbe valutare un intervento.
