The purpose of this study is to delve into the hegemonic battlefield of world order. By doing so, it explores how global dominance is actively contested; where positions of preponderance are won and lost through continuous manoeuvres of power, influence, and strategy. This study introduces an original theoretical framework to understand the complexities of hegemony, focusing specifically on China as a hegemon in potentia. Central to this analysis is the concept of the Common Hegemonizer Factor (CHF), which represents the crucial goal for China as it seeks to secure a pivotal role in the global hierarchy. This thesis examines the multifaceted dimensions of China's ascent and the strategic manoeuvres that define its quest for global influence. Ultimately, the work examines whether China’s calculated ascent can sustain the challenges ahead, or if —like other contenders in history— it will falter on the path of the colossus, where so many have strived and stumbled.

Abstract
Ultimately, the work examines whether China’s calculated ascent can sustain the challenges ahead, or if —like other contenders in history— it will falter on the path of the colossus, where so many have strived and stumbled.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
