Criminalità finanziaria e frodi UE: il ruolo di OLAF nella prevenzione e repressione

This thesis examines the various types of financial fraud, their impact on victims, the economic system, and the regulatory framework. It begins with a case study outside the European Union, then focuses on the role of OLAF in the prevention and enforcement of fraud within Europe, detailing the tools it employs, its guiding principles, and the scope of its operations. Finally, the analysis explores OLAF’s involvement in EU policies, with particular attention to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

La tesi affronta le tipologie di frodi finanziarie, l'impatto sulla vittima, sul sistema economico, e sul sistema normativo. Affronta un caso extra-europeo per poi focalizzarsi sul ruolo di OLAF nella prevenzione e nella repressione delle frodi in europa, spiegando gli strumenti utilizzati, i suoi principi e il suo confine operativo. Infine viene effettuata un'analisi dell'intervento di OLAF all'interno delle politiche comunitarie, in particolare della PAC.
