This study explores how interoceptive awareness influences moral judgments and emotional responses to justice and purity violations. Participants rated anger, disgust, and moral wrongness in response to moral scenarios, while interoception was assessed using the MAIA scale. Results showed that justice violations were judged as more morally wrong than purity violations, and several interoceptive subscales (e.g., Self-Regulation, Body Listening) were positively correlated with moral judgments related to anger. These findings suggest that bodily awareness enhances emotional sensitivity to moral violations, particularly those involving fairness.
