This thesis undertakes a comparative analysis of the Involvement of Women in Conflict Resolution and Peace-building in nations grappling with the aftermath of civil wars. The primary objective of this research is to assess the participation of women in peace negotiations in Colombia, Northern Ireland, and Rwanda. By investigating the roles assumed by women across different continents, we gained valuable insights into the shared challenges they face and the common strategies they employ to address these challenges. Furthermore, this study delves into the impact of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on the post-conflict roles of women within their respective societies. This analysis aims to formulate recommendations and address the gaps in the implementation of this significant international framework, thereby contributing to the enhancement of women's contributions to peace-building efforts on a global scale.
