Virus Respiratorio Sinciziale: approcci terapeutici, prevenzione e ruolo del farmacista.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is one of the main causes of respiratory infections, affecting primarily children, but also the elderly and vulnerable individuals. This thesis analyses its characteristics, transmission and clinical manifestations. It examines therapeutic approaches and the main prevention strategies in depth, with a particular focus on vaccines. Furthermore, it analyses the role of the pharmacist in patient management. The aim is to provide a clear and up-to-date overview of RSV infection.

Il virus respiratorio sinciziale (RSV) è una delle principali cause di infezioni respiratorie che colpisce prevalentemente bambini, ma anche anziani e soggetti fragili. Questa tesi ne analizza caratteristiche, trasmissione e manifestazioni cliniche. Vengono approfonditi gli approcci terapeutici e le principali strategie di prevenzione, con particolare attenzione ai vaccini. Inoltre viene analizzato il ruolo del farmacista nella gestione del paziente. L’obiettivo è fornire una sintesi chiara e aggiornata dell’infezione da RSV.
