Juvenile antisociality can be considered as a set of transgressive, provocative, oppositional and deviant behaviours realized by adolescent and preadolescent individuals. These behaviours can be attributed to the specific transition phase or tend to be structured in a persistent manner throughout life, becoming complex psychopathological patterns and/or predisposing to a delinquent career. This case increases the risk of involvement in the justice system and the reiteration of antisocial behaviour. The psychological and criminological literature on antisocial behaviour is wide. The identification of risk and protective factors plays an important role in understanding the risk of recidivism. This research analyses the risk of recidivism in antisocial adolescents through an historical and psychological perspective of the phenomenon in the period 2013-2025. The analysis was carried out on a sample of 472 subjects involved in criminal proceedings. Information about child offenders were collected by the operators of the Social Service Office for Minors of Milan (USSM) through “Scheda di valutazione del rischio di recidiva” (Maggiolini, Di Lorenzo, 2011). Statistical analyses such as descriptive, comparative and inferential analyses were performed from the database Microsoft Excel to test research hypotheses. To analyse the psychometric properties of the instrument, an exploratory factor analysis (Principal Component Analysis, PCA) and a Cluster Analysis were conducted. The results show significant variations in the distribution of crimes between the pre-Covid and post-Covid periods, with a relative increase in violent crimes. The type of placement is significantly associated with the risk of recidivism with higher levels in subjects placed in rehab centres. The results of the factor analysis support a one-dimensional structure of the instrument. Furthermore, two distinct risk profiles were identified.

Abstract
Furthermore, two distinct risk profiles were identified.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
