Una ricerca sull’archivio fotografico dei codici miniati della sezione Arte della Biblioteca di Studi Umanistici.

The Art section of the Humanities Library houses the Wart Arslan Photographic Fund, which consists of tens of thousands of photographs reproducing works of art of architecture, painting, sculpture and illuminated manuscripts. The times and methods of acquisition of the photographs are not well known and there is no catalog of the Fund, either on paper or computerized, which allows for easy use. The research in question had the aim of creating a computerized catalog of the over 3000 photographs in the Fund relating to illuminated manuscripts, determining when and by whom they were produced and their possible use in scientific publications.

Presso la sezione Arte della biblioteca di studi Umanistici è custodito il Fondo Fotografico Wart Arslan, che consiste in decine di migliaia di fotografie che riproducono opere d’arte di architettura, pittura, scultura e codici miniati. I tempi e le modalità di acquisizioni delle fotografie non sono ben noti e non esiste un catalogo del Fondo, né cartaceo né informatizzato, che ne consenta una facile fruizione. La ricerca in oggetto ha avuto lo scopo di realizzare un catalogo informatizzato delle oltre 3000 fotografie del Fondo che riguardano i codici miniati, determinare quando e da chi furono prodotte e il loro eventuale impiego in pubblicazioni scientifiche.
