In this research, the integration of the European Taxonomy (Regulation (EU) 2020/852) and of the new European reporting framework (CSRD/ESRS) within manufacturing enterprises is analyzed. In particular, a qualitative approach based on a single case centered on Pirelli & C. S.p.A. is used, seeking to fill gaps related to academic literature, which is mainly concentrated on the macro-sectoral level. In the research, an answer is provided to two research questions: the first concerning the implementation of the Taxonomy within the company (RQ1), the second refers to the managerial response aimed at overcoming regulatory and supply chain problems with the purpose of creating value in the long term (RQ2). From the investigation emerges the search for an adaptation methodology by the company. It had to identify its core business in Activity 3.6 of the Taxonomy, linking its substantial contribution to classes A/B of Rolling Resistance and Wet Grip of European Tyre Labelling. Aligned CapEx emerges as a leading indicator that drives the growth of sustainable Turnover; this path is visible in the 2021–2025 period. Faced with bureaucratization and supply chain obstacles (CSDDD, Scope 3, and EUDR), management did not delay in taking action. The responses provided were multiple, in terms of technology, strategy, and reliance on certifications in order to avoid greenwashing and integrate with sustainable finance. In conclusion, the comparison between literature and empirical results demonstrates that the Taxonomy did not shape Pirelli's industrial strategy, but only provided a foundation on which to structure the reporting method.

Abstract
In this research, the integration of the European Taxonomy (Regulation (EU) 2020/852) and of the new European reporting framework (CSRD/ESRS) within manufacturing enterprises is analyzed. In particular, a qualitative approach based on a single case centered on Pirelli & C.
