This thesis focuses on the development and validation of an HPLC-UV analytical method for the separation, identification, and determination of cannabinoids in different matrices. The method was developed considering 25 cannabinoids, with particular attention to minor compounds, which are less extensively studied than the main constituents of Cannabis. The analytical performance of the method was evaluated through specific validation parameters in order to assess its reliability and applicability. The method was subsequently applied to the characterization of different Cannabis-based preparations and real samples, including medicinal products, food products, inflorescences, and other matrices of interest. Complementary HPLC-MS analyses were also performed to support the qualitative identification of selected cannabinoids, contributing to a more comprehensive characterization of the analyzed samples.

Abstract
This thesis focuses on the development and validation of an HPLC-UV analytical method for the separation, identification, and determination of cannabinoids in different matrices. The method was developed considering 25 cannabinoids, with particular attention to minor compounds, which are less extensively studied than the main constituents of Cannabis. The analytical performance of the method was evaluated through specific validation parameters in order to assess its reliability and applicability. The method was subsequently applied to the characterization of different Cannabis-based preparations and real samples, including medicinal products, food products, inflorescences, and other matrices of interest. Complementary HPLC-MS analyses were also performed to support the qualitative identification of selected cannabinoids, contributing to a more comprehensive characterization of the analyzed samples.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
