This thesis addresses the optimization of an industrial robotic dosing system. Thanks to Logic S.r.l., the case studio relies on real technical specifications and customer requirements. The physical plant is composed of (5) dosing machines and a limited number of parking spots (6). The process consists of several recipes, that must be dynamically routed to different machines to recive their ingredients, hence they are divided into sub-recipes. The primary objective of the developed algorithm is to minimize the overall completion time, while respecting physical constraints, like limited parking spots capacity and mutual exclusivity within barrels and machines, and time constraints for the completion of individual sub-recipes. To manage this scheduling problem, Integer Linear Programming (ILP) was utilized to develop the mathematical model to represent the industrial environment. The ILP formulation relies on a set of optimization variables, representing the solver's decisions, and on the allocation matrix and capacity vector, which allow to constrain the feasible solutions region. The implemented model successfully optimize the scheduling, providing a minimization of the completion time and a maximization of the machines utilization.

Abstract
The implemented model successfully optimize the scheduling, providing a minimization of the completion time and a maximization of the machines utilization.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
