In the context of action against climate change and decarbonization of the energy system, microgrids have proved to be a powerful tool to enhance the diffusion of distributed energy sources thanks to their close local control, which allows them to tackle the intrinsic technical challenges of renewable generation that endanger the power quality of the system. In particular, islanded microgrids have their strength in allowing the continuity of the energy supply regardless of the national grid conditions. The quality of resilience, in fact, has become increasingly more valuable due to the increasing frequency of extreme high-impact natural events. Though, resilience is still lacking a normative definition and many studies do not directly consider it in the initial design of the microgrid. The writing of a Decision Support Software (DSS) code aims to provide different design solutions described through the aid of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that are able to embed the different quality of sustainability, resilience, and economic investment. The graphical display of the various design results in a single graph allows the designer to carry out a sensitivity analysis of the design parameters taken into consideration, which may lead them to choose a design solution that they were not originally considering, determining a more responsible use of resources.

Abstract
The graphical display of the various design results in a single graph allows the designer to carry out a sensitivity analysis of the design parameters taken into consideration, which may lead them to choose a design solution that they were not originally considering, determining a more responsible use of resources.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
