The aim of this research thesis is to compare two educational works, namely "Émile" by Jean-Jacques Rousseau and "Paul et Virginie" by Jacques-Henri Bernardin de Saint-Pierre, and to analyze their similarities and differences in content. The themes considered mainly concern the main principles, the proposed educational methods, teaching and the different stages of development of the boy (childhood, preadolescence, adolescence, maturity). The purpose is to confirm, through specific examples, that the work of Bernardin de Saint-Pierre was strongly inspired by that of Rousseau and his principles.
L'obiettivo di questa tesi di ricerca è mettere a confronto due opere di impronta educativa, precisamente "Émile" di Jean-Jacques Rousseau e "Paul et Virginie" di Jacques-Henri Bernardin de Saint-Pierre, e analizzarne le analogie e le differenze a livello contenutistico. Le tematiche prese in considerazione riguardano principalmente i principi cardine, i metodi educativi proposti, l'insegnamento e le diverse fasi evolutive del ragazzo (infanzia, preadolescenza, adolescenza, maturità). Il proposito è quello di confermare, tramite esempi puntuali, che l'opera di Bernardin de Saint-Pierre si sia ispirata fortemente a quella di Rousseau e ai suoi principi.
