By drawing upon a variety of primary and secondary sources including: ancient texts, archaeological material, and scholarly discourse – the intention of this thesis is to shed light on how the cult of Artemis at Brauron served as a catalyst for a positive change in reshaping the status of women within the patriarchal framework of Ancient Greek society.
