Foreign direct investments are one of the driving forces of the process of globalization and are a defining element of the modern-day world economy. FDIs encourage the reconstructing of industry at the regional and global levels, and thus establish the integration of a national economy into the world economy more effectively than trade. Furthermore, FDIs stimulate economic growth and development, providing economies with not only financing for development, but also new technologies, better management techniques and access to international markets. Having all these information in mind, it is aimed to develop a thesis work to study the FDI inflows in developing country, specifically Kyrgyz Republic. Main focus been given to study the impacts of FDI and main reasons of investing in this country. It is also aimed to forecast the inflows of FDI for the next 6 years through ARIMA models.
