Despite many studies have already examined the Precision Medicine phenomenon and many of its main impacts and effects, yet there is still a lack of researches that explain if this new approach in Italy is associated with a change in the patient experience and in the value chain of the healthcare organizations, with an increased orientation towards innovation in medicine and with an improved firm performance of the healthcare organizations. In order to address this shortcoming in the extant literature, a quantitative analysis study on the Italian healthcare structures, with the aim of understanding and highlighting the current situation in Italy. The findings of this research supported all the hypothesis set. These results will support healthcare organizations’ managers in their decision-making processes while at the same time they give contribution to the literature, also suggesting the main paths where to focus the efforts.

Abstract
Despite many studies have already examined the Precision Medicine phenomenon and many of its main impacts and effects, yet there is still a lack of researches that explain if this new approach in Italy is associated with a change in the patient experience and in the value chain of the healthcare organizations, with an increased orientation towards innovation in medicine and with an improved firm performance of the healthcare organizations. In order to address this shortcoming in the extant literature, a quantitative analysis study on the Italian healthcare structures, with the aim of understanding and highlighting the current situation in Italy. The findings of this research supported all the hypothesis set. These results will support healthcare organizations’ managers in their decision-making processes while at the same time they give contribution to the literature, also suggesting the main paths where to focus the efforts.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
