Monitoring and evaluation, capability approach and street children are separated but intertwined issues at the same time. The approach of the capabilities of the Nobel Prize Sen is still topical and not widespread, covering in practice more economic than social and political issues. The aim of the thesis is therefore to demonstrate how the capability approach can be a cross-cutting and multi-functional tool, used specifically to monitor and evaluate projects for street children in a context in which this phenomena is broad spread: the city of Nairobi. While the first part of the elaborate is purely theoretical and introductory, the second part consists of a field research and the use of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the practices and the results of some NGOs for the rehabilitation of street children. Everything in the frame of capabilities, a tool that directly focuses on the stakeholders.

Abstract
Everything in the frame of capabilities, a tool that directly focuses on the stakeholders.È consentito all'utente scaricare e condividere i documenti disponibili a testo pieno in UNITESI UNIPV nel rispetto della licenza Creative Commons del tipo CC BY NC ND.
