IL PAESAGGIO LINGUISTICO: LA MANIFESTAZIONE LINGUISTICA NEL PAESAGGIO URBANO PAVESE IN TEORIA, PRATICA E DIDATTICA

Studying the linguistic landscape of a territory understood as a set of written manifestations within an urban landscape, allows us to investigate the presence of different languages ​​in a given area, as well as their visibility and predominance. The sociolinguistic survey on the linguistic landscape helps to obtain an overview of the outcome of linguistic contact in real life and to draw conclusions relating to the presence or absence of languages ​​that are spoken in the area but which often do not emerge or are not represented. In this paper, after a theoretical approach, the mapping of the Pavia linguistic landscape will be presented with the relative results and, finally, the use of the linguistic landscape as a didactic tool will be proposed.

Studiare il paesaggio linguistico di un territorio inteso come insieme di manifestazioni scritte all'interno di un paesaggio urbano, permette di indagare la presenza di diverse lingue in una determinata area, nonché la loro visibilità e la predominanza. L'indagine sociolinguistica sul paesaggio linguistico aiuta ad ottenere una panoramica sull'esito del contatto linguistico nella vita reale e trarre conclusioni relative alla presenza o all'assenza di lingue che sono parlate sul territorio ma che spesso non emergono o non sono rappresentate. In questo elaborato, dopo un approccio teorico, si procederà alla presentazione della mappatura del paesaggio linguistico pavese con i relativi risultati e, infine, si proporrà l'utilizzo del paesaggio linguistico come strumento didattico.
