This thesis analyzes the transformation of the contemporary information system, exploring the transition from traditional media to a digitalized system governed by disintermediation and the centrality of social media. The main objective is to investigate how Generation Z consumes information content in wartime contexts, with a specific focus on TikTok and the narratives that have emerged on the platform regarding the Israel-Palestinian conflict. This phenomenon was chosen due to the enormous media resonance of the event itself, representing an emblematic case of how war narratives challenged digital logics. The first part of the paper focuses on outlining the theorical framework: concepts such as platform society, Citizen journalism and the risk of information disorder. It delves into the role of TikTok as a primary source of information for younger generations and as a space where engagement and algorithms mediate the perception of the reality of war. The empirical section of the research, related to content analysis, is conducted on a sample of 100 videos extracted using the Zeeshuimer tool, selecting keywords such as “Palestina” or “Israele”. The manual coding, conducted by a single researcher, analyses specific variables (video format, sentiment or thematic relevance). The emerging results highlight a clear prevalence of pro-Palestine content and the emergence of critical phenomena such as a militainment or conflict narrative normalization. In conclusion, the research demonstrates how algorithmic personalization represents a significant challenge for the awareness and critical sense developed by Gen Z in the digital space.

Abstract
In conclusion, the research demonstrates how algorithmic personalization represents a significant challenge for the awareness and critical sense developed by Gen Z in the digital space.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
